In 1889, the mayor of Joliet envisioned a grand castle overlooking the rolling hills and the beautiful waterfront. For one thing, he pictured a mansion with verandas, stone pillars, and a grand entrance surrounded by tropical palms, shrubs, and thousands of flowers. In his vision, the gardens would include massive trees and extraordinary water fountains. Plus, an elegant gazebo surrounded by a sparkling creekside setting would be the focal point. As you enter, you would see extravagant chandeliers, exquisite large windows, and romantic, floor-length mirrors. For him, these details made for a truly wonderful and unique destination where he could hear the birds sing as he enjoyed the sunsets.

Above all, The Haley Mansion offers rows of white garden chairs that lend an air of elegance. Your guests will enjoy the serenity of a bygone era, while they are being served drinks on the paved patio. If you prefer, you can be seated underneath our pergola tent for private conversations. Also, the optional outdoor bar offers dimension to your guests’ enjoyment, as they savor your signature drinks in this spectacular setting.

Though dining is held indoors, a dozen French doors lead to the patio to create a natural feel for your reception. Consequently, large feature windows provide you with indoor comfort, while maintaining the gorgeous ambiance of the outdoors.
Notably, our courteous staff of black-tie servers entices with delicious appetizers, gourmet meals, beautiful cakes, and food stations for any event. Furthermore, our outdoor bar serves bottled beers, an assortment of wines, top-shelf liquors and cordials, and a signature drink of your choice.
